Role:

UX designer and Researcher

Goals:

To provide a platform for patients with the same or similar diagnosis to share respective experiences in a community.

Proto-Persona

Objective

To create a mobile app that connects patients with similar medical conditions, providing a platform for them to connect and support each other, share experiences, and improve their overall quality of life.

User Research (interview)

Interview Transcripts

Participant 1:

“I only view my medical records when I absolutely need to.”

Participant 2:

“It’s very pleasant and easy to access my medical records”

Participant 3:

“Not frequently do I check my medical records. If I’m healthy there’s not really any reason to.”

Problem Statement [Define]:

We have observed that current medical record tools are not giving middle aged workers a centralized platform to join and engage with communities that give support, which is causing patients to feel isolated, alone, and confused. How might we develop a mobile app so that busy middle aged workers are successful in accessing support groups based on their diagnosis in one centralized location.
